Our Community Ministries

As Christians we look to reach out to both local and distant communities and provide assitance to people facing economic and social challenges.

Some of our key community ministries are listed below.


First Nations

The members of this ministry work to bring awareness of indigenous issues and participate in programs bringing assitance to various indigenous communities in Canada.


Food Bank

Christ Church works with the Whitchurch-Stouffville Food Bank to ensure that all members of the community have access to healthy food.


International Outreach 


This ministry works to bring assitance to international communities and has sent members of the parish to Ghana as part of Ghana Rural Integrated Development.


Local Outreach 

The Local Outreach ministry supports various charitable groups and community programs accross York Region.


Lay Pastoral Visitors

Lay pastoral visitors spend time with and offer care and support to all who may be unable to regularily come to Church.


Performing Arts

The Performaing Arts minstry looks to bring a variety of quality musical and performing arts performances to the Stouffville community throughout the year.


Prayer Chain

The members of the prayer chain ministry offer prayers for members of the parish and community who are sick or are in need of God's help. 



The seniors ministry co-ordinates various seasonal events and monthly Eucharist Services for seniors in our parish and local Stouffvile-area retirement homes.
